Dan is a licensed social worker from Northeast Pennsylvania. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from Misericordia University where he majored in Science and minored in Psychology and Philosophy. He further gained his master’s degree in Social Work at Marywood University. During his master’s training he interned at the English second language program (ESL), the adult General Education Diploma (GED) program, and Just Believe Recovery Center for substance abuse.

Dan is trained in the use of a vast array of therapies. He uses an eclectic approach because he believes that each client is unique which calls for a tailored approach to help the client heal from within. With utmost importance, this self-healing maintains a strengths-based approach that empowers and emphasizes the client as the main tool to positive change. The client has an innate healing process that Dan is experienced with and understands well and can provide the client with guidance in finding and connecting to once again. Dan uses a well-developed repertoire of tools, and most importantly empathic traits to develop the profoundly important client-therapist relationship. As this process is dependent on the client, many paths can prevail which may call for understanding and utilization of spirituality, mind-body connection, mindfulness, meditation, self-compassion and many other connections that are too often overlooked, forgotten or otherwise denied in this fast paced, fragmented world that leaves us feeling empty, lost and confused. Dan believes that provided the appropriate understanding and compassion, that each and every person, regardless of situation, can once again reunite with inner peace and love that lead to the most mystifying and beautiful experiences in life making themselves whole and healthy again.
