Dwayne is a nationally certified counselor who received his Masters’ Degree from Marywood University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He is currently working towards licensure to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and practices at the Clarks Summit location. He received his undergraduate degree in Organizational Leadership from Immaculata University and has experience presenting issues pertaining to best practices and evidence-based services & modalities at a variety of Professional State-wide & National Conferences. While a graduate student, Dwayne completed his practicum experience at the Aaron Center and his internship at Forensic Counseling Associates. He is a member of several counseling organizations (e.g. American Counseling Association (ACA), the Pennsylvania Counseling Association (PCA), and the Northeastern Pennsylvania Counseling Association (NEPCA).

Dwayne is experienced in supporting adolescents, adults, and senior individuals with a variety of mental health challenges. His overarching theoretical orientation utilizes a Solution Focused Brief Therapy approach. SFBT is a goal directed brief therapy which utilizes a collaborative approach towards psychotherapeutic change which is rooted in the perspective that our clients are the experts of their own unique experiences and the challenges that they face. Dwayne also utilizes and integrates an eclectic counseling style which draws from Reality Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Existential Therapy (ET), Interpersonal Therapy (IT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Exposure Therapies, Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and Attachment Based Therapy approaches. Dwayne has been a life-long advocate for persons who struggle with mental wellness & the stigmas associated and operates from a foundation of treating all people with dignity and respect.
