Tyana Ruiz is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania. It is there where she also earned her MA in Clinical Psychology. Prior to Marywood, she earned a BA in Psychology at Sonoma State University in California. She is originally from Orange County, California.

Tyana uses an integrative approach with clients and considers what best fits their individual needs and personality. She primarily integrates techniques from Interpersonal, Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches and provides services to individuals experiencing a broad range of clinical concerns. She has also found that evidence-based interventions and culturally-responsive therapies are an important foundation in working with clients. Tyana has experience working with adolescents and adults in community mental health centers and at college counseling centers. She has been trained in administering and scoring intelligence and personality assessments for adults, adolescents, and children. Tyana has specific interests in trauma (PTSD, CPTSD, sexual abuse, combat/veterans, etc.), interpersonal issues, depression, diversity, and cultural issues. She provides services to adolescents and adults.
