
Dr. Dan L. Edmunds has served for 25 years as a Behavioral Health Counselor serving diverse populations including children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Edmunds received certifications in Sexual Abuse Trauma and Crisis Intervention. Dr. Edmunds completed a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from the University of Florida, received a Master of Arts in Theology from the University of Scranton, and earned a Doctorate of Education in Community Counseling from Argosy University of Sarasota. Dr. Edmunds also completed post graduate coursework in Dispute Resolution from Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Edmunds has focused his work on relational approaches that foster dignity and autonomy. Dr. Edmunds has received training in and utilizes existential psychotherapy, Gestalt, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Dr. Edmunds also often focuses on client’s belief systems and spiritual practices and how this can be integrated into their healing journey.
Dr. Edmunds has been a frequent speaker at professional conferences and on radio and television and is the author of 9 books that address the topics of mental health, autism, and interfaith studies
