Dr. Evan Grandoit is a neuropsychologist post-doc. He completed his Ph.D. in Psychology, specializing in Cognitive Affective Neuroscience, at Northwestern University. His research and clinical focus are improving memory and learning. He has also led research projects aimed at enhancing neuropsychological assessment methods for Alzheimer's disease. Dr. Grandoit has clinical experience administering neuropsychological, psychological, and functional behavioral assessments in both outpatient and inpatient settings. He has provided Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based treatment approaches, to treat psychological disorders in adults and children.
Dr. Grandoit is a trained applied behavior analyst (ABA). He implements behavior modification planning with goal targets to support clients in discontinuing or reducing problem activities. In addition, he utilizes a humanistic therapy treatment approach to assist clients in working toward self-actualization – the realization of their ideal self. Dr. Grandoit provides coping skill education and training to assist in the treatment of mood disorders. Moreover, he is trained and experienced in providing sex therapy, family therapy, and group therapy. His treatment philosophy emphasizes behavior modeling and training to enhance clients’ resilience to stress to promote successful integration within their communities.
