Philip Mercadante is a master’s-level therapist pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). He earned his bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavioral Science from Misericordia University and his master’s degree, with honors, in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. He completed his graduate internship through a dual placement at the Aaron Center and Geisinger Marworth.

He provides individual therapy to children ages five and older, adolescents, adults, and older adults. He works with anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, suicidal ideation, grief and loss, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and substance use disorders. He also supports individuals experiencing behavioral addictions, sexual addiction, eating-related concerns, anger management difficulties, and impulse-control issues.

Philip has experience working with neurodivergent clients, including children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD/AuDHD. His approach emphasizes emotional regulation, executive functioning, social communication, and skill-building, often incorporating play-based and developmentally appropriate interventions.

His approach is collaborative, individualized, and evidence based. He integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and humanistic approaches. He provides a supportive, nonjudgmental environment and offers direct feedback when it supports growth. Philip welcomes clients from all backgrounds and belief systems and is open to integrating spirituality or faith when clinically appropriate.
