Robert earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Albright College in Reading, PA and his Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. Additionally, Robert has earned his licensure in professional counseling (LPC).
Robert has spent the last 25 years working in a variety of settings and with very diverse populations. He has worked as part of a mobile crisis team, a therapist in an inpatient facility in Boston, a partial hospitalization program therapist, a case manager, and, most recently, as an outpatient therapist. He has spent over ten years employed as a behavioral specialist consultant and a mobile therapist, helping children and adolescents with a wide variety of autism spectrum, behavioral, and mental health disorders. Robert also has worked with adults with severe mental health disorders and intellectual disabilities. He has experience with couples/marital counseling, family therapy, group counseling, and individual counseling in a wide variety of settings.
Robert uses an integrative and holistic approach with his clients that includes elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy, reality therapy, existential therapy, and person-centered/humanistic therapy. Robert often uses a warm, conversational style while trying to adapt techniques and approaches to meet his clients’needs. He also believes that it is important for his clients to find meaning from their experiences and apply this knowledge when making future choices.
