About This Policy
Tiffany Griffiths, Psy.D. & Associates, Inc. ("the Practice," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit www.drtiffanygriffiths.com (the "Website"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
This policy covers the Website only. If you are or become a patient, the health information you share with us in the course of treatment is protected by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Pennsylvania law. How we use and disclose that information is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, available from our office on request, which governs if it conflicts with this policy.
Please Do Not Send Health Information Through the Website or Email
General email and the Website are not secure channels for clinical communication. Please do not send symptoms, diagnoses, medications, insurance numbers, or other sensitive health details by email or social media message. To share clinical information, call our office or use the secure Patient Portal.
If you are in crisis, do not use the Website or email. Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.
Information We Collect
Information you give us. You can browse the Website without telling us who you are. We collect personal information only when you choose to provide it, for example when you:
- Email or call us with a question
- Request an appointment through the Patient Portal
- Schedule a registration call through Microsoft Bookings
- Subscribe to our newsletter or other email communications
- Apply for a job, internship, or practicum position
- Download, complete, and return intake forms
This may include your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and anything else you include in your message or application. When you schedule a registration call, we also ask for your age, insurance or payment information, preferred office location, whether you prefer virtual or in-person services, and your reason for seeking services.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our Website and hosting provider automatically receive standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring website, and the date and time of your visit. See "Cookies and Analytics" below.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your questions and requests
- Schedule appointments and help you get started with our services
- Send newsletters and updates you have asked for
- Review employment, internship, and practicum applications
- Operate, secure, and improve the Website
- Comply with legal and professional obligations
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use Website visitor information for third-party targeted advertising.
Appointment Requests and Registration Calls
Our Website links to two third-party services that let prospective patients request appointments or schedule a call with our Registration Team:
- TherapyNotes Patient Portal: Review available appointments and submit an appointment request through our secure Patient Portal. A member of our Registration Team will contact you to complete registration and confirm any appointment.
- Microsoft Bookings: Choose an available date and time to receive a telephone call from our Registration Team. We use the information you submit to coordinate that call and help schedule your appointment.
Submitting an appointment request or scheduling a registration call does not guarantee or confirm a clinical appointment. Information collected through these services is handled in accordance with applicable privacy requirements and each provider's privacy practices.
Email Newsletters and Marketing Communications
You may choose to subscribe to newsletters, educational materials, practice announcements, and other communications. We use Constant Contact to manage subscriptions and send these emails, so the information you provide for this purpose, such as your name and email address, is processed by Constant Contact on our behalf.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any of these emails or by contacting our office. Subscribing is never required to receive clinical services. We do not use or disclose protected health information for marketing purposes except as permitted by law, including obtaining HIPAA-compliant authorization when required.
