
Gunnar is a Navy veteran and emerging clinician dedicated to supporting individuals navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and life transitions. He holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh and is currently working towards licensure as a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC).
With multiple years of experience, Gunnar combines professional training with lived experience to create a safe, relatable, and effective therapeutic environment. He has worked with individuals across a broad spectrum of age, gender identity, race, and sexual orientation, recognizing the importance of affirming, inclusive, and culturally responsive care.
Gunnar takes a holistic approach to therapy by considering the mind, body, and environment. He blends evidence-based practices with compassion, collaboration, and respect for each client’s lived experience. His therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while integrating trauma-informed, person-centered, and culturally responsive care.
