
Brianna Rivera is a fourth-year doctoral candidate in the Clinical Psychology program at Marywood University. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology from Marywood University. Brianna is originally from New York City, where she developed a passion to serve individuals from diverse psychosocial and cultural backgrounds. While working in college counseling and community mental health environments, she has gained experience serving children, adolescents, and adults who have struggled with various mental health concerns.
Brianna utilizes an integrative person-centered approach to therapy, incorporating various techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to best fit the needs of the client. She strives to create a warm and collaborative environment by meeting clients where they are through each stage of their process. Brianna enjoys conducting individual therapy, group therapy, and psychological assessment. In a session, she is quick to recognize clients’ strengths, insight, and progress toward their goals.
