Dr. Kathleen (Katie) Shemanski Moro is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) from the Scranton, Pa area. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Bloomsburg University, master’s degree in psychology from Marywood University, educational specialist degree in school psychology from Marywood University, and doctoral degree in School Psychology from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). Throughout her doctoral studies, Dr. Shemanski Moro concentrated on neuropsychological assessment and cognitive behavior therapy. She also completed a graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from the Penn State University. Dr. Shemanski Moro completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Scranton Counseling Center, where she conducted individual therapy in an outpatient setting with young adults. In addition, she provided psychoeducation and crisis services. Dr. Shemanski Moro has been working in the public school setting as a school psychologist/administrator for the past 13 years.
Dr. Shemanski Moro provides services primarily from a behaviorist approach, which includes cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal orientations. She is skilled in many areas of testing and assessment with a particular interest in neurodevelopmental disorders.
