Katie A. Sinnott, LSW, CADC
Dunmore, PA

Katie is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADC) who is originally from Long Island, NY.  Katie completed a double BA in Psychology and Sociology in 2005 from SUNY Stony Brook, located in Stony Brook, NY.  Katie also became a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor in 2010 through Outreach Training Institute located in Brentwood, NY.  Katie later completed her master’s in social work in 2015, also from SUNY Stony Brook.  Katie has approximately 14 years working as a case manager, counselor, and therapist, working with both adolescents and adults in multiple settings including outpatient and residential settings, as well as the emergency department.

Katie uses an eclectic and holistic approach with her clients, providing a safe environment to foster client growth and wellness.  Katie has experience working with clients who have struggled with substance abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, and those in crisis.  Katie also has experience working with LGBTQIA population.

Katie is a committed and empathetic therapist and advocate, working with clients to explore their presenting concerns and identify client goals.  Katie works collaboratively with her clients, as well as treatment team members, to develop client-driven treatment plans, provide treatment services and therapies, and promote her client’s overall well-being.  Katie promotes a therapeutic environment that provides hope, encouragement, and support with compassion.
