Vada is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) from Northeastern Pennsylvania who completed her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Scranton. Vada earned her undergraduate degree from Keystone College, with a major in Social Science and minors in Psychology and History. She is currently working toward obtaining her professional license (LPC). Vada has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in various settings and levels of care, including partial hospitalization, school - and community-based behavioral health, inpatient addiction treatment, college counseling, and mobile crisis work.  She completed her graduate internship at Geisinger Marworth Addiction Treatment Center.

Vada's approach to counseling is to build a healthy foundational client-therapist relationship, in which the client can feel safe and empowered to learn coping skills to further their own growth and wellness.  She uses an integrative approach that pulls techniques from various therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Relational Cultural Therapy (RCT).
