Victoria is a graduate student at Capella University where she is pursuing a master’s degree to become a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She previously earned a B.S. in Psychology Pre-Counseling at Capella University. Victoria is also working towards obtaining a counseling certification in play therapy. Her education in sexual issues initializes her intent to specialize in sex therapy.
Victoria has experience working with children as a former pre-k teacher’s assistant and supervisor for the school-age program at a community daycare center. This allowed her to learn the developmental and emotional needs of children.
Victoria uses a collaborative, client-centered approach when working with clients. Her ability to think systemically acknowledges the various parts of a person’s life that influence behavior. She values multicultural perspectives and promotes social justice by advocating for marginalized groups.
